Description |
According to the nomenclature for octal tubes, the designation 6SL7 without a suffix such as G, GT, etc. would indicate a metal tube, which was never manufactured as such.
The most common design and version is 6SL7GT. Unfortunately, some tube manufacturers or sellers did not adhere to this agreement and omitted this suffix.
As well many circuit diagrams only show the shortened designation 6SL7, which is why we list it here and it is also linked to many models.
