Description UHF air cooled transmitting triode, capable of operating as oscillator or amplifier. With forced air cooling it can deliver 50W at 400MHz and operate up to 600MHz at reduced power. Four side wires, two for the grid and two more for the anode. Flying wires for center-tapped heater connections. The plate shows orange-red color, when tube is operated at full CCS ratings.
GE, RCA and Slater known manufacturers.
Improved 8012 with plate of gettering metal, probably tantalum. No visible getter inside.
