Description |
This tube was developed by RCA in October 1936 and announced in the November 1936 issue of QST magazine. The tube made by many US manufacturers, internationally made by Philips in Holland, AWV in Australia, Nanking Co in China, Toshiba in Japan, MOV in the UK and others. A tube exists in a collection in the US branded "Mullard made in U.S.S.R.". Another Russian tube seen is branded Philips.Several factories in Russia made the tube, (identified as CCCP (4) in the Universal Vade-Mecum). It is extentionally covered on page 76 of "Tube Lore " II by Lud. Sibley
