Description |
The number was assigned in August 1932. Cooled via external water jacket. Filament from flying leads and grid from side connection.
Amperex, GE, Machlett, RCA, Sylvania, UE, Westinghouse known sources.
Four used in the WWII BC-340 amplifier. Also used in the BC-339 transmitter. In 1935 Lindenblad of RCA Communication reported the use of a couple of them, arranged in a Barkhausen push-pull tripler, to generate 115 watts at 411 MHz.
