Description |
VHF transmitting triode, all glass construction with external folded anode. The tube requires forced water cooling. 20KW anode power dissipation. It can be used as amplifier or oscillator up to 20MHz at full ratings and up to 100MHz at reduced anode voltage. 880 was made by several US manufacturers, including GE, Machlett, Westinghouse and Sylvania. In Italy it was produced by Fivre, under RCA licence.
