Description

Extremely rare 15 watt transmitting tube. Base consists of a brass tube 30 mm wide and 50 mm long. A fibre disk is recessed into the tube about 10mm and contains 4 stud contacts. The base shell has a bayonet fitting for placing the tube into an appropriate socket. This base is similar to the base on the Post Office tube shown on page 83 - Figure 8.3. - VT15. In te VT15 tube, the contacts are exposed pins.

No data has so far been found on this tube (8RR4) but one did exist in a collection in New Zealand. Tube was seen by this administrator and more research continues.
