Description |
This tube is mentioned in an article in Wireless World of November 3 1926. The tube is described as being available from Mullard Radio Valve Co for 1.50 GBP.
The application describes the use of the triode strapped as a diode to indicate aerial current by detecting the emission to the anode when the filament has RF current added to the biasing dc filament current.
Anode currents up to 15mA for filament currents up to 500mA are given.
It is possible that this was a sample tube not put into production as the filament current was too high for normal radio use.
