Description |
This tube compliments the Le Radion Detector. While the company was based in Chicago, a box for the amplifier tube in the radio Museum has a label on it printed in French. The English version of the Detector box shows "French Importer New York City. No conformation has been located to show where these tubes were actually made. Page 358 of Tyne's "Saga of the Vacuum Tube" states that Le Radion tubes were made by the Chicago Lamp Co. The French book "L'ABCdaire des lampes de TSF" by J C Lacrouts makes no mention of Le Radion.
