Description |
This tube was the second type of triode made by H. W. McCandless & Co for the de Forest company. It was tubular (T-8 bulb, 25 mm diameter) double ended, about three inches long, and had the filament connections from one end and the anode and grid from the other end. Very little has been found on this tube and it is not mentioned in Tyne's "Saga of the vacuum Tube". One existing tube of this style shows that it has a double filament, with a third filament lead-in wire.
