Description |
The 9th Audion made by H. W. McCandless & Co for de Forest was the double filament spherical type but with two sets of anodes and grids. These were each twisted together and the twist embedded in the "pinch. It was first made in 1909 and was advertised in September 1909 on page 288 of "Modern Electrics" magazine. This design improved emission considerably.
