Description |
Page 133 of the book "BTH Reminicenses 60 Years of Progress" shows this valve photograph (probably an artists impression) with the caption "First radio valve made by R C Clinker in 1915". No mention of the valve in the text. The design of the valve is almost identical to the de Forest "Audion", except for the bayonet bases on each end. Valve would not have gone into production as conventional "Audion" types were made a year later.
