Description |
This tube is a tubular clear glass type designed to illustrate electrostatic deflection and focussing, as well as magnetic deflection and focussing of a rectilinear electron beam. The tube consists of an electron gun, which forms a strip electron beam and a display electrode. It was designed to work with the AWV AV25 Demonstration Triode in a single unit. These were widely used in physics laboratories in schools and universities. See full "Radiotronics" article November 1959 below.
This tube was designed by Vivian Anthony from AWV and details of the tube were never pubished in ordinary tube data books.
