Description

When first made, this tube used the bakelite UV199 base made by the US manufacturer Shaw Insulator Co. A later version about 1925 had a nickel plated brass sleeve with a composition insulating disc holding the four pins. The last base used was black bakelite with the AWA logo on the bottom of the base. This base was made at the AWA factory.
