Description |
This is a medium sized current regulator tube made by GE around 1940-45. It has an S17 straight conical bulb and can be confused with light bulbs of this style. It has a heavy and closely wound coiled filament in an inverted "U" shape. Both sides of this are anchored to a glass rod which has a central anchor for the top of the filament. The lower end of this central anchor is embedded in the press. The voltage range is 8 - 18 and current 2.7 to 3.25 amps.
