Description |
This tube was originally fitted with the standard US Navy 3 pin base, made of a composition material and with the anode from the base side connection. The tube was given the type number VT-11 by the US Signal Corps but used the four pin Shaw base. The Navy later adopted the Shaw four pin base and redesignated the tube CG890. The anode is a small inverted "cup" and is 5 mil. nickel, about 8 mm diameter and 10 mm high.
