Description |
Penning cold cathode ionisation vacuum gauge. This sensor, devised by Frans Michel Penning, can be used down to 10 exp-5 torr. It uses the conduction given by ionised gas particles accelerated under the influence of an electrostatic field. Typically the sensor operates at 2000V anode voltage in a magnetic field.
