Four-terminal optoelectronic coupler, forerunner of optocouplers, containing one neon lamp and one photoresistor in a cylindrical case. Also known as Raysistor it was used in a variety of control circuits.
Control lamp: 120V ac or dc at 0.5 to 3.5 mA
Photoresistor: 2000 ohms on, 10 megaohms, 200 V max, 250 mW
Switching time: 10ms on, 350ms off.
