Description |
80 to 100 KW in S-band, at 15KV, 15A peak anode pulses, with an efficiency of about 40%.
This title replaces the CV56A.
CV56A was a frequency selection of CV56. At the beginning the selection was performed measuring the frequency of each sealed unit on a test bench and then adding the proper suffix, A to D, to the CV56 code. When the sealing process was automated, a special machine tuned the magnetron to the wanted frequency, by bending the strapping jumpers before the sealing-off. It was decided then to assign a different title to each possible frequency range.
