Description |
The CV specification for the CV2128 whose prototype is the Mullard/Philips ECH81 calls for 100% electrical testing at both high and low voltages. 250/100 volts for the heptode and 100 volts for the triode are the normal operating voltages for an ECH81.
However the requirement for testing at 15 volts for both sections indicates that such operation was envisaged prior to May 1953 when the second edition of the specification was issued.
Operation at these voltages is the requirement of the ECH83 rather than the ECH81 and tests have found that there is no difference between these two tubes and hence there was no CV specification required for the ECH83.(RJ)
