Description |
The C316 rectifier tube was developed by GE alongside the Kenotron UV216 and was available in the middle of 1921. The first RCA catalog, September 1921 advertised the Kenotron UV216. The tube was designed for use with the UV202 and C302 transmitting tubes. The UV216/C316 tubes could operate with 550 volts ac on the anode and supply 20 watts at 350 volts dc.The filament emission was about 100 milliamperes. (Pages 322 and 323 of Tyne refer only to the UV216.)
