Description |
This tube was made in limited quantities by MOV in 1925 as a replacement for the American UV199 tube and it was mainly exported to the British Empire. The only known example of the tube has a Shaw bakelite base, which was made by the Shaw Insulator Company of East Orange, New Jersey, USA. This would indicate that as production was limited, it was not worth MOV manufacturing this particular type of base.
