Description |
When British decided on microwave radar, all the RF components were still to be developed. Several solution were proposed and evaluated for the local oscillator in the receiver, including triodes, magnetrons and klystrons. We know tha eventually klystron was preferred for its low noise, its frequency stability and the ease of adding AFC. At STC Fremlin developed several microwave Heil oscillators, mainly intended as local oscillators.
According to the attached label, DV57 was a scaled down DV55, intended to operate at 3 cm. No data available
