It is now believed that the pictured tube in Tyne, p.128,Fig.7-24 left, is in fact a DV6.
First made early in 1923, the tube was originally ungettered. Shortly after this, a gettered type was made. This tube was replaced by the DV6A in September of the same year. Without paper labels, these tubes are impossible to identify. The base used on all three tubes is the Shaw nickel plated type.
