Description |
GEC developmental code for the VHF power triode approved as VT58. Pure tungsten filament.
External copper anode triode, metal-glass style, designed to replace the silica envelope type NT57. Derived from the ACT10 television transmitting tube, it was first used in the experimental 200MHz CHL transmitters, in 1938. From early 1940 it replaced silica valves, NT57 and its improved variants NT57D and NT57T, in MB2, in GL1 and in GL2.
