Description |
10KV PIV, 12.5A average, 1500A surge. Grid voltage +1.5 volts at 1000 anode volts and -6 volts at 10000 anode volts. Tubular-spherical bulb, 17-1/2" high; 4 pin industrial base. It is listed on page 48 of the "Story of Electronic Development at the General Electric Company". Dated Dec 10th, 1930.
This tube is a mercury vapour thyratron. It has a negative control characteristic which enables it to be used in applications where current flow is required in the absence of grid excitation.
