Description |
The tubes depicted in the illustration are two of several known replica Fleming valves. At least 4 different versions of the valve have been seen over the years and all show evidence of being made after 1930. In particular the design of the base and crude wire connection.(not platinum as normal). An American collector was credited to have made a quantity of these and the de Forest Audion, in the mid 1950's. The filament for these tubes is uncertain, but would have been either carbon or tungsten.
