Description |
No data found on this tube. It looks to be a mercury thyratron triode with external control electrode. The date on the samples is August 1941. We remember that Amperex had gained at that time a considerable experience on tubes controlled by electrostatic flields: few years before they desiged C-100A and its derivatives for Collins. Well, our samples recall the shape of the C-100A, with the difference that droplets of mercury can be observed inside the bulbs.
Likely experimental external-grid prototypes functionally similar to the 873 gridded thyratron, but smaller in size.
