Description |
This is a Thermiode, a glass tube in a shielding of nickel-iron alloy to prevent electric or magnetic interference.
To avoid the Philips penthode patent (suppressor grid connected to the filament/cathode), Tungsram, Radio Record, Marathon, Longlife and others called this kind of tubes a tetrode with penthode characteristics. In fact was the suppressor grid connected to the grid. Nevertheless, this IT103 was a plug-in replacement for the C443 etc.
