Given as direct replacement for Telefunken AC701. Used in Hiller M159 - M160 and in Telefunken M49 - M69 broadcasting microphones.

The MSC4 was indeed designed to be compatible to AC701, and thus it could not be used as a direct replacement in the Hiller Mics M159 and M160, because these employed the MSC1,2. Source: NWDR Braunbuch sheets for M159 and M160.
