Description |
Radar transmitting triode with silica envelope. Designed by F.M.Fooley of Signal School in 1939 on the experience of NT57, NT86 was a powerful radar triode: two tubes in push-pull generated 1MW peak power in the Type 281 early warning radar; 90MHz operating frequency, 2 to 3 microseconds pulse width, 50 pps; 60A at 28KV.
