Description |
This tube was designed at the de Forest laboratories in High Bridge, The Bronx New York in the latter part of 1918. It has the anode lead from one end and the filament and grid leads from the other end. It is pictured in illustration 7-25 of Tyne's "saga of the Vacuum Tube", page 128. It was tubular at each end with a spherical centre to accommodate the element structure. It was replaced by the 1D around 1920
