This is a specially designed tube only made by CeCo and was announced in the April, 1930 issue of Radio Craft, page 512. It was used for RF amplifier stages of mains a/c voltage radios. The Norden-Hauck Super DX-5 is the only recorded receiver to use the tube. The tube has a very high amplification factor of 750. The control grid is connected to the top cap and the space charge grid is connected to the screw terminal on the side of the base. Compared to the UY224, the P1 has a comparative RF gain of 23 percent. It is the same tube as the AC_CeCo, made in 1930 but an earlier version.
