Description |
The Arcturus P4 "Photolytic Cell" is a diversion from the standard photo cell of its time. It was advertised in Electronics magazine, April 1930. It is described as having a more uniform frequency response, low coupling impedance, no background noises. It also requires no excitation or adjustment and it is shock proof and non microphonic. Also it has exceptional resistance to overloads. It is fitted with two round brass pins and has several use recommendations. These are for the improved operation of sound picture equipment, sorting, checking and matching equipment, railway and highway signal systems, chemical and medicinal analysis and in burglar alarms.
