Laut dem Buch "Radio Valve Data", 8. Aufl., 1966, hat die PCF84 die selben oder sehr ähnliche Daten ('similar') wie die PCF80, jedoch eine andere Sockelschaltung. Dies konnte auch durch Messung eines Exemplars von Mullard bestätigt werden.
Davon abweichende Angaben im Babani und in Electronic Universal Vade-Mecum scheinen nicht zutreffend zu sein.
