Description |
This is one of the early experimental strapped prototypes built at Birmingham by the Sayers group. Asymmetric strapping. Looking at the internal structure and strapping scheme, likely it was built and used in the development of the CV56.
In 1941 S.M. Duke from the Megaw's group GEC had joined the Birmingham University to transfer there the most advanced assembly technologies. Look and manufacture of this sample recall those of the first GEC internal prototype of E1189.
