Description

A life of 800 hours was expected when filament was operated at 4 volts. During WWI Moorhead supplied European based vacuum triodes, marked as R type, to the British Army. British also designated these tubes as VT32.

The R_Moorhead_H was a general purpose vacuum triode with spherical bulb, horizontal electrodes and a visible R marking, similar to other British R types. This can be considered a transition from the early vertical electrode R_Moorhead to the later VT32_Moorhead, characterized by a quasi-cylindrical envelope.
The base of this tube was made by the Shaw Insulator Company, who were associated with Moorhead Laboratories.
