Description |
Forced-air cooled 'micropup' UHF transmitting trode. Fmax about 300 MHz.
Used in several VHF airborne radar sets, among which ASV Mk II manufactured for Royal Canadian Air Force, RCAF. About 8.000 to 10.000 units of ASV were also supplied from 1941 to USA Navy and Air Forces.
REL 1 was equivalent to British VT90. REL was just the prime contractor for radar supply during WWII; tube production was actually run by other Canadian tube manufacturers, as Northern Electric for this tube.
