Description |
Canadian version of the early British TR cell invented by AH. Cooke of the Clarendon Laboratory in 1941. The device was known as 'Soft Sutton', because the use of glass body and resonator of the NR89 Sutton klystron, filled with gas, hence 'soft'. 3GHz; keep-alive electrode.
According to Sibley it could be similar to WE709A. No known volume use, but samples could have be made by Northern Electric for REL.
