Description |
copy of french TM during WW1. A "hard" tube, first made by the Osram Lamp Works September 1917. Also made in England by B.T.-H., ..Metropolitan Vickers (Cosmos), A.C.Cossor Ltd, Cryselco Electric Lamp Company, Edison-Swan, Mullard Radio Valve Company, Marconi Wireless and Telegraph, Stearn's Electric Lamp Company and H.W.Sullivan Ltd. An Osram R tube exists with a factory fitted American "Shaw"-UV base. The Tube was known as VT4 in the British Post Office. British Navy version NR12. The Osram brand was discontinued on this tube with the formation of the Marconi Osram valve Co in 1919. Late in 1925 the company used bakelite bases for the tube
