Description |
Deforest designed Audions for use as oscillators, giving them the name Oscillions. This later version used a Shaw base, the earlier version was on an Edison screw base. Also a rectifier was made.
They were given the name "Singer" because they were used for audio frequency oscillations, or "singing".
