Description |
This is a Thermiode, a glass tube in a shielding of nickel-iron alloy to prevent electric or magnetic interference.
To avoid the Philips penthode patent, Thermion calls it a tetrode because the surpressor grid is connected to the grid instead of the kathode/filament. Nevertheless, this is a plug-in replacement for the C453.
