Description |
Series regulator tube, seems to be used exclusively in KEPCO's HB-250M stabilized power supply. (In the schematic of this PS, the tube is named DT930A.)
The TS930 does not appear in any of the known data books.
Tung-Sol code: 3226734-3
The characteristics measured are similar to those of TV horizontal deflection types, especially to the 6LB6, although the system appears different.
Visually it is indeed quite close to a 6L6GC or 7027A, but a bit bigger and more massive. Especially the cathode is much larger.
Power supply designers asking for as low as possible cathode to plate drop when the grid voltage is close to zero and a sharp and clean cut-off at not too far negative grid voltage.
Maybe this tube was especially designed to meet that requirements.
It must have been developed in the time around 1962...1965, but not RMA-EIA designation or comparison type is known to us yet.
Max. plate dissipation: 25 ... 30 W (estimated)
Characteristics measured on 2 new ones:
Vp = 125 V, Vg2 = 125 V, Vg1 = -20 V
Ip≈135 mA, Ip,max = 200 mA
Vp = 150 V, Vg2 = 110 V, Vg1 = -20 V
Ip≈95 mA
