Description |
This tube is in effect an MOV DET1, but minus the grid. It used a thoriated tungsten filament and operated up to 1000 volts. In bi-phase, half wave operation, it was designed to provide 80 mA of smoothed direct current. The tube in the Museum, no 17838 is also shown as a U6 with smaller bulb and B4 base, but made by Officine Marconi Genova in Italy. Data and information on this tube is needed.
