Description |
Virtually the T_deForest tubular audion. The name Ultraudion meant that it could be made to produce oscillations when used in a circuit which deForest called the "Ultraudion circuit" (as in the UJ1). This tube normally had wire connections but an adaptor was available from the de Forest company so that the filament connections could be connected to an E12 candelabra screw base. The tube had a paper label on the glass showing the name. the label also states that the tube has a Hudson filament. In his "Saga of the Vacuum Tube", page 120, Tyne says this is not a Hudson filament.
