Description |
Work started on development of this tube at the GE laboratories in June 1928 and the type number was assigned to it in March 1929 and it was released to the public the same year. Radiotron brand, shown in RCA Broadcast News 1932-04 This tube is a half wave rectifier type classified as a "Phanotron" by the General Electric Company. It is listed on page 48 of the "Story of Electronic Development at the General Electric Company". Dated Dec 10th, 1930. The filament connecting wires are substantial and enclosed in glass or porcelain beads.
