Description

Radiotron, shown in RCA Broadcast News 1932-04

This tube is a half wave rectifier type classified as a "Phanotron" by the General Electric Company. It is listed on page 48 of the "Story of Electronic Development at the General Electric Company". Dated Dec 10th, 1930. Work on the development of this tube began at the G E laboratories in the summer of 1928 and the type number as assigned to it in the spring of 1929. It was released in 1929.
