Description Originally made with the T9 (30 mm diameter) glass bulb, this tube was made from early 1931 with the S12 bulb (38 mm diameter) and generally branded type 31 only. A year later the bulb size was changed to ST12. the weight increased by 2 grams. Most US manufacturers still making the tube adopted the changes as a natural progression.
