Description |
Sturdy non-microphonic tube for aircraft communication. Airplane vibrations caused noise in the receiver using normal tubes.
The first series of the UX864 tube made in 1928 used the old "shouldered" small UX tube base. Thi9s was replaced by the 30 millimeter UX base in June 1930. This reduced the weight and height of the tube by a few millimeters
