Description |
This very rare tube was specially designed for use by the British RAF. It is fitted with an unusual bayonet base, similar in shape to the standard B22 base. One socket guide pin is normal size and the other about 3.5 mm diameter. The base shell has a solder contact, possibly for the anode. There are two soldered base contacts for the filament and a "half moon" shaped larger contact presumably for the grid. No information has so far been located to show a use for the tube. It has the manufacturers details on one side of the glass bulb and the British Air Ministry logo on the other side.
