Description |
Altough using a UV base it is by no means equivalent to the UV203. The Western Electric engineers had to develop a stable and rugged construction. VT-1 was the US Signal Corps designation for the tube wich was known as Type-J. This same tube was used by the US Navy under the designation CW-933. "The Western Elecric code numbers assigned to this type were in the 203 series, the first being 203A." From 1919 on the VT-Class_I or B_Moorhead could be used instead of this older design.
